Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Harborlight Fox Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Orlando. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about policy renewals into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
