Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Cedar Junction Water Authority Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
