Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Orchard Energy Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
