Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Ironwood Clear Energy Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 655 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
