Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Lumen Maple Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Des Moines, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about meal programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meal programmes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
