Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Fernwood Loom Early Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 141 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with tuition and subsidies.
