Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Westbrook Iron Insurance Associates is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
