Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Fernwood Willow Financial serves customers across Baltimore with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
