Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Greenridge Stone Energy is an energy provider in Charlotte focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 141 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
