Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright North Financial serves customers across Milwaukee with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about customer onboarding into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
