Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Redstone Lantern Insurance Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about policy renewals into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
