Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Westbrook Lantern Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for learning materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Families are partners. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about learning materials into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with learning materials. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
