Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge West Transit Planning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
