Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Bridge Energy Group supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Phoenix. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
