Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Silverline Rowan Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Hartford, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about visit scheduling into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with visit scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
