Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Northwind River Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
