Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Providence, RI)

Silverline Meridian Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Providence. What you will do • Turn requests about contractor visits into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
