Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Providence, RI)

Ironwood Vale Medical is a Providence company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Providence. What you will do • Turn requests about training materials into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
