Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Pittsburgh, PA)

Harborlight Keystone Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Pittsburgh working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
