Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bluepeak Juniper Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
