Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Phoenix, AZ)

Fernwood Field Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
