Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Oakland, CA)

Summit West Care Services is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about client records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with client records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
