Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Harbor Care Services Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
