Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Mill Care Services and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about caregiver training into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
