Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Summit Orchard Telecom and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 945 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Turn requests about service installations into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
