Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Silverline North Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
