Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (New Orleans, LA)

Westbrook River Financial is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
