Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Early Learning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
