Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Minneapolis, MN)

Harborlight North Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
