Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Milwaukee, WI)

Lumen Haven Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Milwaukee. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Families are partners. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about learning materials into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with learning materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
