Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Milwaukee, WI)

Nova Loom Early Learning Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
