Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Milwaukee, WI)

Silverline Wren Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Milwaukee region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
