Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Miami, FL)

Westbrook Orchard Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Miami. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
