Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Madison, WI)

Summit Pine Financial is a financial-services company in Madison, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about account servicing into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
