Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Little Rock, AR)

Fernwood Drift Telecom Group is a telecommunications provider in Little Rock focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock. • We reply to every applicant.
