Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Knoxville, TN)

Summit Ridge Medical designs and makes medical devices in Knoxville, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 55 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about device records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
