Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Knoxville, TN)

Silverline Lakeside Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Knoxville, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We invest in training. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
