Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Kansas City, MO)

Ironwood Wilder Insurance is an insurance company in Kansas City with claims and service teams, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
