Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Jacksonville, FL)

Redstone Wren Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Jacksonville, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
