Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Nova Haven Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
