Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Houston, TX)

Clearpath Thistle Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Houston. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 92 people based in Houston. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
