Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Honolulu, HI)

Rivermark Sparrow Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Honolulu. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
