Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Hartford, CT)

Redstone Basin Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
