Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Harbor Energy and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
