Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Sable Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
