Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Fresno, CA)

Westbrook Forge Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Fresno design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
