Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Fresno, CA)

Lumen Transit Planning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
