Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Summit Orchard Telecom and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 512 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
