Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Detroit, MI)

Greenridge Pike Insurance Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
