Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Des Moines, IA)

Amberfield Ivory Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for cleaning schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
